Lost In Translation Circus is an emerging UK based contemporary circus company.

Lost In Translation takes its inspiration from its name and focuses on combining high level circus skills with theatre, narrative, movement and live music.

We are children of the circus, now adults, ready to share our vision with our audiences: a world of fun, a world of acrobatics and laughter somewhat incoherent but very accessible human.

We currently have several projects in various stages of development, including a full-length group circus show, a community based multi-strand project to take place in the US, and a training project to develop a new aerial passing act. We also have a long experience with creating and performing short acts for corporate events, cabarets and festivals and continue to operate this arm of the company.

01/02/2012 We have just received funding from the Arts Council of England and Lottery Fund for our next week of creation of La Balade De Bergerac to take place with the assistance of Circus Central in Newcastle in March. How exciting! Our thanks to the Arts Council for their support.

18/01/2012 We have just finished a week of creation for the beginning of our second stage of rehearsals for La Balade De Bergerac, which took place in Leuven and Brussels (Belgium). Many thanks to Cirkus in Beweging for the use of their space and their continual support. We are very excited by what proved to be a great week of creative inspiration and a wonderful group dynamic. Well done everyone!

15/01/2012 Our new group show La Balade De Bergerac completed its first stage of development in November 2011 and performed the results at Circus Futures in Bristol on December 1st, a showcase event for emerging contemporary circus companies in the UK. To be part of this event was a wonderful experience and insight into the current state of the UK circus industry. Lost In Translation Circus would like to thank Circus Futures for the opportunity to take part and all the people that helped us to produce our first foray in this adventure which is creating La Balade De Bergerac. There was a lot of positive and useful feedback from the presentation and much interest in the future of the show.

Lost In Translation is currently in the process of developing our relationship with Circus Central and Lets Circus (Newcastle, UK) in the form of a 2 month teaching residency.
