Rob Tannion

Rob Tannion is a visually creative director/choreographer who works internationally across the genres of circus, musicals, dance, outdoor & site-specific theatre shows alongside work in commercials, events and film. Recent circus work in 2011 includes: Acrobatic Director for new Chinese resident musical "Spiral", Director/Choreographer of "Beautifully Imperfect" for NICA, Melbourne; Director of "Mentiras" for Transito 5 in Centro Nacional de las Artes, Mexico. From 2010 -08 Rob directed 3 original creations for the project "CRECE" in Madrid's prestigious Teatro Circo Price in association with Carampa. Previous work highlights have included: Collaborator and Performer with DV8 Physical Theatre and Complicite, Associate Choreographer on the musical "Lord of the Rings" (Toronto), Choreographer on commercials for clients such as Bacardi, Fosters and Baileys, Actor in films such as "Resident Evil", and BBC television series "Stig of the Dump". Since 2004 he has been joint artistic director of London based physical theatre company Stan Won't Dance.

 

Peter Cox MBE: Writer / Dramaturg / Narrative Artist

Peter is an award-winning dramatist whose stage plays have been produced in venues ranging from the Royal National Theatre, Wales Millennium Centre and Belfast Opera House to miner's welfare halls. His television drama work has been broadcast in more than twenty countries and his radio drama on BBC Radio 3 & 4 and Radio Wales. He is perhaps best known as the writer of 227 episodes of the acclaimed Channel 4 drama serial, Brookside, between 1986 and 2003 where he helped to create multiple-strand stories for more than 2,400 episodes. Peter also has extensive experience in the community arts sector with many years in artistic leadership, mentoring and volunteer management roles. In 2010 he worked as writer-in-residence with No Fit State Circus on three Parklife shows and in the 2010 New Year's Honours List he was awarded an MBE for services to community arts.

 

Peter Swaffer-Reynolds - Musical Director, Composer and Lyricist

Peter Swaffer-Reynolds has been writing music since 1989. He started a circus band in Sweden, then in 1996 worked for NFS Circus (UK). He has written for silent films (commissioned 1996/7 by Gothenburg Film Festival, The Finnish Film Archive and performed at the Retrospective of Swedish Film 2000); engaged in the art film music; film (Search For Sound, WNO 2010); performance, dance and theatre. Since moving to Bristol he has worked for The Young Company at Bristol Old Vic, for Fairground Theatre, Trestle Theatre, Green Ginger and Moon Fool Theatre Company. In the last four years he has also collaborated with WNO (Welsh National Opera, National Theatre of Wales and Volcano Theatre. He leads his own music collective, ROSTRUM, a synthesis of styles from performance, circus and theatre.

 

Samuel Herault

Circus has been part of Samuel's life since the age of 8 as a student at l'école du cirque du Bilboquet (Cholet), and later à Jo Bithume (Angers). He entered the world of professional circus with his training at the CPAC d'Amiens in 2009. He has performed acrobatics, handstands and fire acts at various festivals both indoors and on the street. He created and performed with his company Courcirk'8 from 2007. He has been an artist intern performer for Noél d'Amiens (bulles de rêves (2009) et les mystères de la canopée (2010). In 2011 he was part of No Fit State's apprenticeship as a performer for the show Barricade.
